Repeats all calculation steps (listed below) until all possibilities have been exhausted, i.e. until the game is either solved or the calculation methods have reached their limits.
Alternatively just try out some of the individual calculation steps listed below. They can be applied in different order and each of them can be used several times.
Those cells which have no fixed value assigned yet show a list of possible values. This action removes from every cell those possible values which are already set as fixed values in the respective column/row of a cell.
Within a str8t line (i.e. a connected region of white cells in either a row or a column) all possible values depend on each other. This action removes all those possible values from a str8t line which don't form a sequence due to the fixed value set in the cells of the same line.
Same as the previous step, but instead of taking into account only the already fixed set values of the cells in the str8t line it looks also at all possible values in that line.
If in a column/row two cells hold the same two possible values and no other possible values, these two values cannot appear in any other cell of that column/row.
For certain sr8ts one or more values are know already which will appear for sure in that line, although they are not set as a value yet. This action removes those required values from all other cells outside the str8t on the same column or row.
Click on any of the cells above. Clicking once colors it black, clicking again colors it white. Type in any value from 1 to 9. Once you are done click the button and start to play.
If you have set all necessary cells you can download it as a json-file. You can then later load the game again.
If you have already stored a game you can load it again.

This performs a very basic consistency check. It looks in all columns, rows and str8t lines whether a value has been set twice.
Each number from 1 to 9 occurs at max once in every column or row.
Straight lines (str8ts) of white cells in a column or row
can only contain consecutive numbers, but don't need to follow any order,
i.e. the numbers "5, 6, 7" can occur in any sequence in a 3-cell str8t,
such as "7, 5, 6" or "6, 5, 7", etc.
Numbers on black fields don't be belong to any str8t.

It is possible to store and download games you created and to load them again.

str8ts.com offers an enormous amount of str8ts games, it also provides daily and weekly str8ts and sudoko games to solve. There is also a solver which seems to work in a similar way as this here. Also take special note of the weekly games, where my solver usually fails to find the full solution 🥵.
For Android users the app Str8ts offers a large number of str8ts games for different levels.
